Frequently Asked Personal Training Questions

Choosing a personal trainer is an important decision. Below are answers to common questions about personal training in Hull, online coaching, and what you can expect when working with Zach.

My coaching is suitable for anyone looking to improve their fitness, strength, body composition, or overall health — whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced gym-goer. I work with clients locally in Hull through personal training sessions, as well as clients across the UK through online coaching.

Not at all. Many of my clients start with little to no gym experience. As a Hull-based personal trainer, I ensure you understand every exercise, build confidence in the gym, and follow a structured plan that suits your ability level.

Online coaching includes a personalised training programme delivered through my coaching app, regular check-ins, ongoing support, and clear progression. You’ll receive the same level of structure and accountability as in-person personal training, with the flexibility to train around your schedule.

Alongside being a qualified personal trainer, I’m also a professional rugby player with Hull FC experience. Training in a high-performance environment has shaped my coaching style — structured, disciplined, and focused on long-term results, not quick fixes.

Yes. Nutrition guidance can be added to any coaching package. My approach is realistic, sustainable, and designed to fit around your lifestyle — no extreme diets or unnecessary restrictions.

Online coaching clients receive regular check-ins and daily message support. If you’re training with me in Hull through 1-to-1 sessions, we’ll review progress during sessions and through the app to ensure you’re always moving forward.

Absolutely. With a background in professional rugby, I specialise in sport-specific training, including speed, power, strength, and conditioning. This is ideal for athletes based in Hull or those training remotely.

My programmes are built to fit around work, family, and other commitments. Whether you train early mornings, evenings, or weekends, I’ll structure your plan so it’s realistic and sustainable.

While even 4 weeks can deliver progress, I recommend committing for at least 8–12 weeks to see meaningful, long-term results. Consistency is key, and my role is to help you stay on track.
